Back To School Contest

First Contest of 2011: Resolutions

Happy New Year Everyone!


It is unreal how fast 2010 came and went, right? It seems like just yesterday when Sea Lillie was just an idea! The success we have had in just the past few months since 'opening' has truly exceeded Kaela and I's expectations! Just last week we were able to donate almost $350.00 to the Give Life Project due to the popularity of our Hope Necklace! Praise. The. Lord. 


We hope and pray that this coming year brings continued growth, success, challenges (don't you always have those in there!?), and JOY. We hope all of you can look back at 2010 with a full and thankful heart of everything you have learned and overcome.


To kick off the new year, we are are opening a contest to all of our followers. The prize is: THIS!

Attention all Etsy Shopaholics

Hello Cyber World!

Our Grand Opening on Etsy, slated for November 5th-7th, 2010, is quickly approaching and we have been working hard for our big premiere!

If you are reading this, you are most likely a friend or relative (and we love you for your support!) and you probably know Kaela and I well. However, if you've found us another way and you're a new friend, we would like to introduce ourselves.

Sea Lillie originated from a small start-up company called Simple Roots which was established in 2009. The company was started by Kaela as a hobby while finishing up her senior year in college and it quickly developed into a budding business. A successful holiday season led into an even busier new year. As summer approached, Kaela was scheduled to go on a mission trip to Zambia, Africa in June 2010 with the The Give Life Project. With the success she gained from Simple Roots, she was able to donate 100% of her sales to aide in buying supplies for orphaned children.


With Simple Roots growing and Kaela's aspirations and dreams growing too, she decided it was time to take the company in a new direction. Enter her new business partner: yours truly. (Did I mention we married two brothers? So we share a great surname - Antolino.)


We chose Psalm 96:11 as our company verse: "Let the heavens be glad, let the earth rejoice! Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise!"  because it is from the Lord's magnificent creation that we draw our inspiration for this company. We ultimately hope and pray, that everything we do will glorify God. 


With that being said, we already have a few designs made and wanted to show them off at a mini beach photo shoot with photographer and Kaela's sister, Miss. Kortney Rojas. Check em' out:

We have a lot of ideas to take this venture hopefully farther than simply online retail. We are hoping to get involved with weddings, Mary Kay parties, local events, and small boutique retail. As our friends and family, what we would appreciate the most is for you to spread the word!


We will primarily use this blog to feature special or themed pieces along with offering contests for discounts and FREE stuff. So make sure to come back and see what's new.

Up next: Details to follow for our very first contest (first of many) where the winners will receive a special discount for our Grand Opening Week.
